SAVING ZOE movie option!!!
Hey Everyone-
Well, I've been sitting on this news for a while and I'm so thrilled to finally announce that SAVING ZOE has been optioned for film!!
Here's the Publisher's Marketplace listing:
September 9, 2015
| |||||
| Film rights | #1 NYT bestselling author Alyson Noel's SAVING ZOE, about the complicated relationship between two sisters showing how the bond can endure long after one of them has gone, to actress/producers Ellen Marano, Vanessa Marano (Switched at Birth), and Laura Marano (Austin and Ally) with Jeffrey G. Hunt (Vampire Diaries) directing. | ||||
I'm so excited to have such amazingly talented people attached to this project! I met the Marano sisters and their mother, Ellen, a few years back when they first expressed interest in Saving Zoe and I can honestly say that not only are these girls beautiful both inside and out, but I can't think of a better pair to portray fictional sisters Echo and Zoe.
SAVING ZOE was released in 2007. It marked my seventh book at the time, and even though I've written many books since, ZOE has always held a special place in my heart. Which is why I'm thrilled that my dream of seeing this story adapted for either the big or small screen is one step closer to becoming a reality.
For those of you unfamiliar with the story, here's a blurb:
One dead sister's secrets save the other's life—in more ways than one...
It's been one year since the brutal murder of her sister, Zoë, and fifteen year old Echo is still reeling from the aftermath. Her parents are numb, her friends are moving on, and the awkward start to her freshman year proves she'll never live up to her sister's memory.
Until Zoë's former boyfriend Marc shows up with her diary.
At first Echo's not interested, doubting there's anything in there she doesn't already know. But when curiosity prevails, she starts reading, becoming so immersed in her sister's secret world, their lives begin to blur, forcing Echo to uncover the truth behind Zoë's life, so that she can start to rebuild her own.
Prepare to laugh your heart out and cry your eyes out in this highly addictive tale, as Alyson Noël tackles the complicated relationship between two sisters and shows how the bond can endure long after one of them is gone.
SAVING ZOE also received some nice recognition, including these:
- National Reader's Choice Award winner for the Young Adult category
- Nominated for YALSA's 2008 Teens' Top Ten list!
- Nominated for a CYBIL AWARD
- Featured on the CBS Early Show's "Give the Gift of Reading" segment as a book to buy for teens!
- Chosen as one of the "Best Books of 2007" on TeenReads.com
- "Reviewer's Choice 2007 Top Ten List" on TeensReadToo.com
- Chosen as a Junior Advisory Board "Favourite read" for Canada's largest book retailer, Chapter/Indigo/Coles
More to come, but for now -- thanks for letting me share this exciting news!!
Peace * Joy * Love

One More Week!!!
Hey Everyone-
Just one more week until HORIZON hits the stores--but the early reviews are starting to trickle in and this is what they're saying:
“I am definitely marking this series as an absolutely favorite one. . . Everything
that unfolds in Horizon is what the entire series has been building
up to. It will suck you in and not let you go until you see that last
word…Alyson Noel delivers yet again a series that I can get lost in way after
the reading is over… I can't recommend it enough…I just can't believe it's
over!” Shayna Varadeaux, 5 Stars
"Fans will revel in this truly terrific ending to the SOUL
SEEKERS series." 4 Stars
—RT Magazine
“ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT…Told in several different viewpoints, this is one stunning
conclusion to a wonderful series…you won't be disappointed..I loved how this
ended.” –BookHounds
“Plenty of action and heartbreak …I actually
really really like the ending…I think it was absolutely perfect and
fitting…It’s a well done and solid final installment in my opinion and if you
are fan of the series I think you will definitely be happy with it.” –Library
of a Book Witch
“I am a huge fan of Alyson Noel and when I saw the chance to read
Horizon I jumped on it. This is the 4th book in the series, and Alyson did not
disappoint me one bit. Fun, intriguing, twists and turns, love, and pain.
Alyson Noel has a way of transforming her characters, that they pulled me
in without even realizing what was happening, and soon I was so caught up, that
I hardly realized 2 hours had past. Books like this that can keep
my intrigue and keep my mind reeling are reasons why I am a fan of
this writer…
Overall I feel that the author did a great job in building the story
and the characters. I loved the plot line, and the uniqueness of it all. There
is mystery and suspense that had me captivated for hours. I do recommend this
series!” Book Boyfriend Reviews, 4 Stars
“…if you have never read the previous books, than this
one will get you caught up in what happened in the first three books…The main
thing that I do like with this book and the other two books in this series is
that the point of view switches between characters. I like learning what Dace
and Lita and the others are thinking but I also like how Daire is finally
starting to become prepared for whatever is about to happen.” –Panda Book
Lover, 4.5 Stars

ECHO in Stores Tomorrow, Tues., Nov. 13!!!
Hi everyone,
The release of ECHO is almost here and I'm SO excited to share this book with you!
She
inherited a magical destiny—and a mission to stop a powerful family of
dark sorcerers. She never expected to fall in love with one of them.
There's
still so much Daire Santos has to learn about being the last Soul
Seeker....and about herself. As her magical training becomes more
intense, so does her relationship with Dace. But when she learns that
his connection to the evil Richter family goes far deeper than she ever
imagined, she begins to question if love really can conquer all.
Dace
is painfully aware that he wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the
Richters' dark magic—and now his brother Cade is determined to use his
love for Daire against him. Dace is willing to sacrifice anything to
protect the girl he loves—including his own life. But will Daire allow
it? And what if defeating Cade costs not only his life, but his soul
too?
In case you haven't seen it yet, here's a glimpse at the next installment in the SOUL SEEKERS series...
Read an excerpt from ECHO HERE.
The reviews for ECHO are starting to come in and I'm happy to share that Night Owl Reviews gave it 4.5 stars and named it a Top Pick!
"Daire and her boyfriend Dace are back to restore the balance of good and evil after saving her grandmother and her soul. Dace is deliciously yummy, and if I say so myself, so is his evil brother Cade. It's a bit more fast paced than Fated was, and it's setting up the series to have longevity. If only it wasn't so long again until the next installment!"
ECHO will be available in paperback, hardcover, e-reader, and audiobook tomorrow! Check out www.soulseekersseries.com for all the latest details and a complete list of retailers!
I had such a blast writing this book and I hope you enjoy reading it!
More news coming soon!
