Room With a View

Just got home from an amazing week in Kauai. And as much as I love Laguna Beach, I was still a little reluctant to return.

And this is why:

That was the view from our room at the Princeville Resort (rainbows included!). And even though we had a great time snorkeling, lying by the pool, touring the island (by car, foot, and helicopter!), and eating at several great restaurants, I would've been just as happy gazing out the window.

The last night was spent in Honolulu on Waikiki, where we had another great view:

Which makes me wonder if there are any bad views in Hawaii (I think not).

And then, when I got home, I found two, early, hot off the press copies of CRUEL SUMMER on my doorstep-- which means release day is just 12 days away!!!

Speaking of release days, Linda Gerber's awesome DEATH BY BIKINI is available now!! So head on over to her blog to take part in her week long party- and your chance to win some great prizes!

And tomorrow I'll be talking with the students of South Gate High School-- can't wait!

Have a good day everyone!

Hey Alyson! So glad you had such a good time. The views you posted made my jaw drop. I love the desert, but wow. Hawaii looks pretty hard to beat.

Also, thought you'd want to see this: http://writesinsleepadaora.blogspot.com/2008/05/tale-of-two-jeans-and-t-shirt.html. I was blog-hopping today and read it. (The relevant part starts about halfway down, maybe a little more.)

Hi Caryn-
I love the desert too- in fact, we just got a place there so I'm headed that way this weekend!

Thanks for the blog link- I stopped by and left a comment!

Oh what a fantastic view.

Look what you've done alyson. You visted my blog, and I visited yours. Now I've discovered your book is coming out, now I have to go to Chapters and buy it.

Oh well, no doubt it will be amazing.

PS: Finished SAVING ZOE and WOW. I don't know where to begin. Reading your book was like sticking my head into a glass window that opens into a world. I honestly was mentally, emotionally, and physically connected with Echo the whole way through. Definetly my favorite read this year. Had to let you know that.

Wow. Great pictures. And of course there are no bad views in Hawaii. I think it's in the state charter or something.

YAY on the copies of Cruel Summer!
