The 17th Minute

The video below was sent to me from fellow YA author, Teri Brown. It's a beautiful & powerful film, written, directed, and produced by seventeen-year old, Nicolas Braccioforte. It's message is very important and I urge you to watch it.

Be well,

Alyson

This is really touching and yet scary all at the same time. Everyone needs a friend and a shoulder to lean on. I think it's great that you posted this because it will definitely help spread the word about teen suicide. Thank you for caring Allison!! Loved meeting you in books & books in Miami last year ;)

That was indeed very powerful. What a brave young man he is to have filmed this and tried to show us something that is pretty much taboo to talk about. No-one I know has ever addressed these issues with teen suicide, except in hushed secretive tones and then it is swept away, not to be talked about again. Maybe if it was talked about more, we could actually reduce these unbelievable appalling statistics.
I hope they show this video to kids at school.
Thanks for posting it. :o)
