AH! Congrats on Shadowland and it's 4.5! I really can't wait to read it. I'm very excited.

As for the friends and boyfriends thing, there was this boy and he liked me, and I did not reciprocate the feelings. We saw each other a lot because of our parents. He liked me for three or four years and we were friends but finally he started changing and he's way more my type now. And I realized this. Problem? He had gotten over me. Moved on. And it never worked out. Maybe some time in the future. Maybe there's a reason we've never liked each other at the same time. Most high school relationships don't work out. But who knows? Maybe he'll see the light ;]
So it sort of happened to me. He was right in front of me and I never saw him that way. But in my case, it didn't work out.

Hi Molly- Wow--there is definitely something to be said for timing, isn't there?! But you never know what the future holds . . .

Yay, Shadowland for Top Picks!! As well as the rating. Did they get a copy of Shadowland before fans? :P

There's this evil little boy who's my old friend's brother. He's really weird and always encouraging me for violence... Weirdo. Well, he always try to bully me and demands me to fight back. He insists me to improve my self-confidence. I don't even know what he's talking about. He's just so mean. Today, I tripped and he.... laughed. Eh, he's not a friend or a boyfriend *shudders*.

Hi Alexa--Yup, magazines always get early copies!

As for the boy, ugh! Sounds desperate for attention, but unsure how to get it--and violence is about the worst way possible to ever build "confidence." Steer clear!

Being raised as a good Asian girl, I am not allowed to date. This happens in most cases for Asian people. We simply don't date until we're 18 and above. Most people marry without ever dating. So yeah.

I am trying different tactics to avoid the boy. So far, it's working out so well. Yeah, who ever heard violence makes people confidence? I am sure I don't need self-confidence lessons! :P

Oh, I gotta like draw Shadowland's cover. or at least try to. Then I'll send it to you. Hehe. I still can't draw Blue Moon's cover. It's so hard!!

When I lived in Mykonos, Greece, they had a very similar dating culture, and they still arranged marriages too, which I found really interesting since i wasn't raised like that!

And don't worry, I can't even draw the EVERMORE cover!! But would love to see what you come up with for SHADOWLAND!

Glad you're able to avoid that boy!

Yeah, I never thought much about dating because of this culture. Sure, I am like every other girls, crushing on boys, but I never actually decided I'd break away from my culture and start dating. Nowadays, Asians do marry for love but they hardly date. Sometimes they do in their last two high schools years and above.

Hey Alexa- Well, I'm sure you are sparing your self a Huge Load of DRAMA, which is always a good thing!

I've finished Shutter Island after 4 days of obsessive reading. Wow, it is fantastic. I never expected the ending to be like that!! With every page I read, I kept on guessing but the author's one step ahead. Everything was so unexpected. It was such a great reading!! Thanks for recommending it to me. I need to get more of Dennis Lehane's stories. They're so good!!!

Hey Alexa- YAY!! I'm so glad you loved it! The ending totally left my mouth hanging open--it was amazing! Dennis Lehane is amazing!!

YAY! For Shadowland! Cant wait till comes to me. I was so sad at the end of blue moon with the whole evermore cant touch him thing but it made the plot that much more intresting.. HMM boys n dating: Well I've been a bit unlucky with that.. I recently got dumped by my BF of 5 months, and as ive been getting over it, i meet this cool guy, very cute and funny but hes just not a relationship kinda guy... Seriously? I mean i know i love the books and movies where the bad boys turn all sweet and loving but i dont think this applies...

Alyson Noel said...

Hi Brooklynz Angel- Aw, I'm so sorry about you and your BF- and you're right, bad boys usually stay bad boys for a long time . . . despite what we see in books and movies!
Hang in there!

Simply_Dina said...

Yeah i figured that... we stopped talking a while ago, *sigh* i wish guys were also like the ones in books, like damien...

P.S. Love that song, though my favorite by him is probably "Harvest Moon" or "Unknown Legend".

Hey Brooklynz Angel- Yup, me too!

Thanks, Caryn! I'm a big Neil Young fan too--Cinnamon Girl, Sugar Mountain--it's all good!
