Twilight Movie Madness!

Thanks to the ever industrious Ms. Jessica Brody, I am now an official ticket holder for TWILIGHT's opening night!!  And even though I haven't read past NEW MOON yet, I totally cannot wait to see Edward on the big screen!

And speaking of Jessica Brody, be sure to stop by her awesome sites FREE BOOK FRIDAY and FREE BOOK FRIDAY TEENS for your chance to win a signed copies of Amanda Ashby's YOU HAD ME AT HALO and Melissa Walker's VIOLET IN PRIVATE! Hurry--the contest closes on Friday!

Also, ever wonder what happened to the naked baby on Nirvana's iconic NEVERMIND album cover-- (come on, you know you've been wondering!) -- well wonder no more! He's all grown up now having reached the ripe old age of (gasp!) 17-- and he's recreating his most famous pose --albeit with swim trunks this time! To see the pic and read about his no fail pick up line (I seriously hope it fails more than it works!)- click HERE.

So tell me, are you planning to see TWILIGHT the movie??

Knowing my Twilight-obsessed friends, I'm sure I'll be dragged over to the theaters and tied down to a chair on Friday. I do want to see it, but only when the madness dies down. ;)

I'm not planning to see it and I don't really want to see it, but my friend does, so I'll probably go with her.

Hey Kanwal- Normally I'm all about avoiding the crowds too--which is why I usually go to matinees during the week when it's just me and all the retirees!! But something about the midnight showing sounded fun!

I'm going to the midnight showing with some friends, but we understand that we won't really be able to hear the movie until it's out on DVD and we can watch it at home.

Unless 14 and his friend-girl want to go, I'll be giving it a pass.

Hey Sarah- You mean from all the screaming and sighing whenever Edward's on the screen??

Hey Amy-- I don't know if 14 will be interested, but there's a good chance his girlfriend will be!

It should be a lot of fun! I am excited for the people watching i get to do while waiting in line. All those fans dressed up, should be exciting!

Lamia-- OOOH costumes! I forgot about the costumes! How very Rocky Horror-ish- now I really can't wait!!

I don't go to the movies often but Twilight is definitely reeling me in. I'm just worried that I'll have that whole, "The book was so much better than the movie feeling."

BTW, I'm completely sucked into Saving Zoe right now. I've seriously eaten while reading it, slept while reading it (Well, I woke up with it on my chest. Does that count?) and have only stopped to blog.

Which reminds me, I gotta go finish it.

It's fantastic!

Seventeen years?!? Really? Now I feel old.

And, no, I'm not planning to see Twilight. Even the trailers bug me (although I couldn't keep myself from looking them up online as soon as they were released). The characters just never look the way I pictured them. Hope the movie is a good adaptation and that you enjoy it!

Hey Caryn-

I know, the casting part is always touch. Bella looks just as I pictured, but Edward . . .sigh . . .well let's just say the reality is never quite up to the fantasy!!
