Popcorn Hangover

So I just found out during my morning blog hop that The Book Lady sent me one of these:

How sweet is that? And if you're not reading her blog then . . . well . . . just read it because she's really funny and nice and takes the most amazing photographs!

And so now, of course, I can't just sit back and beam because someone likes my blog, oh no, not me. Now I feel pressure. A sort of performance anxiety so to speak. Like I need to come up with some really great blog posts, pronto.

But the truth is, I got nothing.

Nothing but this idea that popped into my head when I woke up this lazy sunday at--- wait for it---9:47 am:

POPCORN HANGOVER

Is that even possible you might ask?

Why, yes.  Yes it is. And I should know since I'm currently experiencing one having seen more movies in the last few days than I have all year. A few them watched in the comfort of my own home, and a few in an actual theatre, including not one but two separate viewings of TWILIGHT, one being the infamous midnight showing with Jessica Brody where we sat so close it felt like my eyeballs were on fire. And the second in a nearly empty matinee with my husband (yes, he truly is a saint. And no, I can never repay him for the sacrifices he makes.) all because I wanted to see it from a normal perspective in a seat that didn't require me to contort my spine, crane my neck, and pray for the safety of my retinas.

And then yesterday, we saw QUANTUM OF SOLACE, which I didn't like near as much as CASINO ROYALE, but it was still fun in a drool worthy, white knuckle, 007 kind of way.

And now all I can think is: Which movie next?

Because I've got a feeling that the only way to cure this particular hangover is another popcorn fix.

Any suggestions???  Which movies make your must see list??

Awww. Thanks, Alyson, for your sweet words, and for the link! And I know what you mean about not knowing what to write about. I've been so wrapped up in other things that blogging hasn't been tops on my list.

As for movies, I've heard that Australia is supposed to be good, and I think that just came out this weekend. Then wasn't there an animated movie that just came out? Can't remember which one, but it's supposed to be hilarious, even for adults.

Hey Caryn- No need to thank me, I meant every word of it!

Australia- yes! It seems very epic, and big, and is definitely on my list.

And as far as the animated movies go, it's like my niece once said when she was a little kid: Adults always like those cartoon movies!

So true!

ROFL on the Popcorn Hangover. I don't know what that is, not at all, nope, not me, nuh-uh.

Okay, maybe I know what it is a little bit.

Okay, a LOT bit.

Sheesh.

14 wants to see Twilight, so I'll get to see it again. You can definitely give Madagascar 2 a pass.

We're going to see BOLT next weekend for 10's birthday celebration.

Definitely want to see Bond, but am drooling for when INKHEART comes out in Jan. Also want to see BEDTIME STORIES when it hits theaters.

On DVD, give JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH try. We really enjoyed it.

You probably know what I'm going to say, and I know you haven't seen it yet....

Mamma Mia.... here I go again, my, my, how can I resist you....

Ok, I'll stop singing now.

I wasn't planning on seeing Twilight, but I've been reliably informed by Amanda that I will be.

Hey Amy-Ah, yes INKHEART--can't wait!
And I saw the trailer for Bedtime Stores- it looks really cute! Thanks for all the tips!

Mia- Yes, SLUMDOG, and MILK are on my list--and I'm hanging my head in shame because we still haven't seen CHOKE?
Or perhaps you went without me??????
I wouldn't blame you if you did . . .
But whomever you went with I bet they didn't push you off the curb (it was an accident!) and then buy you a frozen yoghurt to make up for it!

Sara- Ah, yes MAMA MIA, I'm definitely going to rent it so I can sing along at home!

And you should go to TWILIGHT with Amanda. You should go everywhere with Amanda--she's awesome!

Keri- Yup, I just saw SEX & THE CITY in the comfort of my own living room! Very cute!
