Paris--part deux!!

Okay, I promised you more Paris pics and here they are--enjoy!!!

The Champs Elysee & Arc de Triomphe at night!

The book fair- I arrived a little late due to the snow-and was greeted by a long line of lovely readers!

Including Celine who I know from Twitter!

Slightly blurry action shot of signing!

A quick interview after the signing

Inside the gates of Versailles-thinking about all the times Damen used to visit!

The very snowy gardens!

I was so excited to find a Murakami exhibit in the works! The blend of the formal & whimsical was brilliant!

Love this little blue haired girl!

In the hall of mirrors--Damen has walked there many times!

Hall of mirrors . . .

Photographing ourselves in the hall of mirrors!

More Murakami magic!

Marie Antoinette's bed!!!

Where they dined!

Portrait of Marie with her children

I can never resist a visit to Le Louvre!

The charming streets of Montmartre!

Our hotel featured a Swarovski crystal exhibit-this one reminded me of the infinity symbol, which reminded me of The Immortals!

That's all for now . . . have a good day, everyone!

What can I say? Paris is pretty much my favorite city, so when my French publisher, Michel Lafon, extended the invitation to visit, I didn't hesitate to say, "Oui!"

We started at the Museum of Romantic Life, where I was interviewed by channel M6

before moving on to Montmartre where the interview continued as I had lunch with two amazing French readers, Maud & Laetitia, at Le Moulin de la Galette--

Then we all moved on to the Children's Book Fair, where I signed books, met some lovely readers, and continued the interview which you can view HERE! (It's the very last story, so scroll to the end!)

The next day I headed to the Michel Lafon offices where I did a really fun online chat with French readers

Then I moved on to a slew of interviews (including one in French Cosmopolitan!), followed by a photo shoot for a piece in Closers magazine, which I'm told is like the French version of People!

Then my husband and I headed out to the famous Les Deux Magots Cafe for champagne to celebrate NIGHT STAR's second week on the New York Times & USA Today's Bestsellers lists!!

More pics to come . . . stay tuned!!

Day two of playing blog catch up and it's time to post some pics of my time in Oslo!!

It was my first visit to Norway, and I have to say that Oslo was just as beautiful as I thought it would be!! And though it was unbelievably cold (as witnessed by the photo below!), the people were so warm and friendly they totally made up for it!

View from the hotel room window!

The first event was a public interview at the House of Literature! My publisher, Anne, introduced me before Elin (aka Norwegian Book Girl) interviewed me!

Is this not the cutest book club ever??? And believe it or not, this was a purely candid moment!

I made a visit to the Ruskeloff school which was filmed for TV- I'll post the link as soon as I get it!

The students were amazing and asked such great questions--I had a wonderful time talking with them . . .

and signing their books!

After, we retreated to the teacher's lounge to continue the interview . . .

and then I headed over to do a bookstore

to do another interview with Elin - (I swear she's so good at this, she should get her own show!)

and of course sign more books!

Later, I had dinner with a group of amazing booksellers who won the Immortals window display contest!

And, this being Norway, we were anxious to show off our elegant, evening footwear (I'm in the middle!)

I finished the visit with another interview and signing . . .

I mentioned it was cold, right???

And then I headed for Paris--pics coming soon!!

See you soon!

The European Tour Continues . . .

So the truth is I'm currently in Paris and today is officially the last day of the Scandinavian/Parisian Book Tour (a much anticipated vacation will follow!!), but I've been so busy with signings, interviews, and meeting all of the amazing readers that it's been impossible to keep up on this blog.

But now all of that changes, as I'm going to try to get caught up in a combination of photos and links over the next couple days--beginning with Copenhagen!

So, without further ado, here goes:

All I can say is that Copenhagen was beautiful, and snowy, and charming, and friendly, and I had an absolutely amazing time meeting all the readers!

It started in the airport bookstore where I was thrilled to see my books on display!

And then I went on to La Glace to meet some amazing Immortals fans- Helena & Anna Katharina, where we ate cake and talked while being filmed byt the TV2 news crew.
You can see more photos on the blog post below--and you can watch the televised interview by clicking HERE!

I also got to meet Heidi who I've been corresponding with online for a while, and she's as awesome as I knew she would be! You might also recognize her from the televised news piece from the link above!

I did several really fun signings where I was thrilled to meet so many Danish readers!!

And of course, no trip to Copenhagen is complete without a visit to the Little Mermaid!!

I also did a lot of interviews, some of which you can read HERE & HERE!

Okay, tomorrow, more pictures from Oslo--but for now, I'll soon be heading out to the Children's Book Fair where I'll be singing in the Michel Lafon booth from 2 - 4 PM.

Hope to see you there!!!
