I'm really excited to announce that I'll be participating in the Passport to Reading event, sponsored by Taft High School in Woodland Hills, CA, on Saturday April 5, 2008, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. It's a celebration of one of my favorite things-- reading! And I'll be joined by lots of amazing authors, illustrators, and storytellers. My session is scheduled for 11:00 -- and I really hope to see YOU there!

What a great event to have at a high school. I would've loved to have met my favorite authors back then. I used to read Lois Duncan, Francine Pascal, Beverly Cleary, and of course Madeleine L'Engle. Hope you had a great visit!

Waaayyy back then I used to read Judy Blume, Norma Klein, Judith Krantz, Victoria Holt, Sidney Sheldon, and others as they didn't have near as many YA titles.
