A lot of you have been asking, and, at long last, the DARK FLAME paperback releases today!! Look for it wherever books are sold!

Also, WHISPER, book 4 in the RILEY BLOOM series will be in stores on 04.22.12!!

And, on 05.22.12, FATED, book 1 in my new series, THE SOUL SEEKERS, is set to debut! I'm so excited for this one, it's been so much fun to write! Look for ECHO, MYSTIC, & HORIZON in 2012/13!

CBC Best Books of 2010!!

I just learned that both DARK FLAME & NIGHT STAR have been nominated for the Children's Choice Book Awards "Best Books of 2010"-and I couldn't be more excited!!

Wow, there is so much going on right now, it's hard to know where to start, so if it's okay with you, I think I'll just jump in and see where I land!

First off: Just want to THANK YOU all again for your wonderful support of RADIANCE!! I know I've gone on (and on!) about how Riley holds a special place in my heart, and I just want to say that your support of her story (which propelled her to #2 on the New York Times Bestsellers list!), really means the world to me!

And, speaking of Riley . . . there's this fun little poll over at Girls Life where you can chime in on which of her super powers you'd most like to have--all you have to do is click HERE! And just so you know, I voted for instant manifestation! :)

Hey Everyone-

Well, I just wanted to start off by saying THANKS for keeping DARK FLAME at #5 on the New York Times Series Bestsellers list for the 4th week straight! The series list is an incredibly tough one so I'm absolutely thrilled with the news and just want you to know that your enthusiasm and support means the world to me!!

And speaking of The Immortals, a reader recently sent me THIS LINK showing that Ever comes in at #17 on the list of "Hottest Baby Names for 2010"--and, there are two variations thereof as well--how cool is that?

And speaking of Smart Chicks--the Smart Chicks Tour is just around the corner (Sept 13-25), so be sure to check out the awesome new website HERE, the blog HERE, along with the Q&A which answers all of your Smart Chicks Need-to-Know-Now burning questions HERE!! Mine is turning out to be insanely busy with finishing the final Immortals book (still no title yet, though I will say UNTITLED IMMORTALS #6 is beginning to grow on me!), moving (yep, I moved, which means I spend most the day digging through boxes searching for things!), oh and my niece and nephew are now here for their annual visit (I just wish we had better weather for them--cold, foggy, and drizzly is not exactly the California promise!)!

DARK FLAME-- a New York Times & USA Today Bestseller!

I just got the amazing news that DARK FLAME has landed THE IMMORTALS on the New York Times Bestsellers List for Children's Series at #5--and I can't thank you enough!

The Children's Series List is insanely tough as it basically pits the total number of books in any given series against each other, and with only 4 books published in THE IMMORTALS so far, it's clearly your generosity, enthusiasm, and support that has landed me there!

Oh, and I also just learned that it debuted on the USA Today Bestsellers list at #11--woo-hoo!!!

I always say I have the best readers in the world--but that's only because it's true!

So, again, thanks to each and every one of you for making my release week so special--I couldn't have done it without you!

The Mission Viejo Signing!

So last night I signed in my home town--The OC--and just like all of last week's signings, it was a blast!

It was so good to see so many new faces, and so many familiar faces as well, and I can't thank you enough for taking the time to come out!

The signing actually started with a pre-signing signing when a niece and a friend of one of my dearest childhood friends stopped by with their own copies of DARK FLAME!

The Miami Signing!!!

So, I'm back home in not-so sunny CA (it's pretty overcast in Laguna ), but I wanted to give a big shout out to thank everyone who made it out to the Miami sgning! Books & Books is an awesome store and I was so thrilled by how many of you showed up--some from quite a distance--so thank you for that! I had a blast and I hope you did too! Oh, and thanks to my Brazilian readers who sent messages via Livia--you guys are amazing!!

The Dallas DARK FLAME Signing!

So what can I say about Dallas, except that despite the lack of tornados, despite the availability of electricity, (see the somewhat supernatural Chicago signing below!), Dallas proved itself to be an absolute blast!

I started the day doing an interview with the lovely Gwen & Becky from Fresh Fiction (will link to it as soon as it's up!)--interview took 10 minutes, discussing our favorite TV shows after the interview took about 45! Then I did another quick spot with the awesome Rance Adams from KTVT's "Buzzed into the DFW" (again, will link when it's ready), and then it was onto the signing where I got to experience an absolute first:

The (very dark) DARK FLAME Chicago Signing!

Wow. I just got back from what will surely be my most memorable signing ever!!

Partly, because I still can't believe how many awesome readers braved the tornado to get there--(thanks to each and everyone of you--with a special shout out to those of you who came in all the way from Michigan & Indiana!!) but also because the second I started, the electricity went out, and so we proceeded to talk & sign in the dark (which, was actually pretty appropriate considering the title is DARK FLAME and all)--and it ended up being so much fun, I'm afraid it set an impossibly high standard for all future signings!

And, just to illustrate how very dark it was, below is a picture of me & the awesome Borders crew taken just after the signing:

The DARK FLAME Tour so far!!!

Oh man, I cannot thank you all enough for the outpouring of enthusiasm and support! I always say I have The Best Readers Ever--but that's only because it's true!

The signing at the Mall of America was fabulous--I met Facebook friends, two sisters who drove 10 hours, a girl who flew all the way from Colorado, and many, many more--thanks for making my release day so special!

And speaking of release day, I started the day with a really fun radio interview with MN station KWNG, then later, I stopped by the KARE TV studios to do an interview with news anchor Pat (loved him-he's awesome!), which you can see HERE!
