Hey Everyone-

Well, I just wanted to start off by saying THANKS for keeping DARK FLAME at #5 on the New York Times Series Bestsellers list for the 4th week straight! The series list is an incredibly tough one so I'm absolutely thrilled with the news and just want you to know that your enthusiasm and support means the world to me!!

And speaking of The Immortals, a reader recently sent me THIS LINK showing that Ever comes in at #17 on the list of "Hottest Baby Names for 2010"--and, there are two variations thereof as well--how cool is that?

And speaking of Smart Chicks--the Smart Chicks Tour is just around the corner (Sept 13-25), so be sure to check out the awesome new website HERE, the blog HERE, along with the Q&A which answers all of your Smart Chicks Need-to-Know-Now burning questions HERE!! This tour is going to be epic--so I really hope to see you at one of the stops!

Okay, now that the business portion is concluded, I just wanted to wish you all a great summer! Mine is turning out to be insanely busy with finishing the final Immortals book (still no title yet, though I will say UNTITLED IMMORTALS #6 is beginning to grow on me!), moving (yep, I moved, which means I spend most the day digging through boxes searching for things!), oh and my niece and nephew are now here for their annual visit (I just wish we had better weather for them--cold, foggy, and drizzly is not exactly the California promise!)!

Giving Thanks!

Wow.

I just learned that the release of SHADOWLAND has landed me at #17 on the USA Today Bestsellers list, and at #5 on the New York Times Children's series Best Sellers List and I couldn't be happier--more gobsmacked--more amazed--or more grateful!

Truly.

Since it's the third book in the series it was no longer eligible for the individual NYT best sellers lists like before, and yet, with only three books out, it was directly competing with series titles featuring as many as six books or more!

And there's just no denying the huge part played by YOU!

Your enthusiasm, excitement, and support went a long way toward making this happen, and I just want to thank each and every one of you for being so dang awesome! Your letters, e-mails, messages, art work, videos--all of it--never fails to make my day--and I just want you to know how much I appreciate it!

The Story

So, yesterday was a great day.

Not only did EVERMORE & BLUE MOON remain on the New York Times Bestsellers list for 36 & 14 weeks respectively, but I received, hot off the press, straight from my publisher, the finished, hard cover copy of SHADOWLAND!!!

And it's BEAUTIFUL!!!

Seriously. Beautiful.

I am in awe of the talented people in the St. Martin's art department--they really outdid themselves this time!!

(And no, I'm not giving it away--not even to my mom--it's too pretty--and it's mine-- all mine!!!)

In other IMMORTALS related news, I've recently learned that EVERMORE is also a bestseller in both the UK and Spain--so Rock On my transatlantic friends-- THANK YOU-THANK YOU-THANK YOU for that!!!

And I hear that today it's being released in France as ETERNELS-- Viva France!!!

Also, I wanted to remind you I'll be chatting with the ReaderGirlz, on Monday, October 19th from 6:00 -9:00 pm Eastern, in honor of YALSA Teen Read Week! So please stop by and say hi if you get the chance.
