Wow, I just realized it's been two weeks since my last blog post, and it's entirely due to the whole mouth trauma thing that's been going on (braces, bone removal, bone grafting, gum stippling, gum suturing--feeling queasy yet??!), and since it's best not to blog while under the influence of pain meds, well, I figured a little blog silence was in order!
But even though it's not over yet (the stitches don't come out for another 2 weeks and my cheeks still look as though I'm storing nuts for the winter!), I thought I'd drop in long enough to say THANKS for all of your comments and support! This year has exceeded all of my writerly dreams and I owe it all to YOU!!!
Also, I wanted to wish you all a warm and wonderful holiday and all good things in the New Year!!

ew, sorry about all your jaw trouble. did you have an underbite and had to get it fixed? i have to eventually get the bone removal and braces and all that because of my underbite. except i get to have my jaw wired shut. a lot of people will enjoy that, lol!

ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of your books, especially the Immortals series, and I also like to do photomanipulations in my spare time, so I decided to do a small tribute to one of my favorite authors. ^^

I was really looking forward to Shadowland after Blue moon was such a let down. I was hoping that Ever and Damen could finally be together. But we are left in the same place as the first book. They are unable to truly be a couple. There is no closure, nothing new about this book. It makes me not want to read the next one, because it will probably end the exact same way. It was a giant let down at the end to know they still had to search for an antidote, and why would she trust that Roman would give her the real thing?

ReplyDeleteWell, you are certainly entitled to your opinion and while I'm sorry you feel that way, I'm not going to try to change your mind.
But I will say that a lot of extremely important information was revealed in Shadowland--among them being the discovery of the Shadowland and what becomes of an immortal's soul is actually a very big deal and will be very important in future books. As well as the discovery of Jude--that he & Ever have a past that goes way back--one that Damen knew about but didn't share with Ever--it's kind of a big deal . . .
To me, finding an antidote is only a part of the big journey that the two soul mates are on--but it's not the journey itself--not by a long shot. . .
