Letter to Hollywood for FIVE DAYS OF FAMOUS

Hey Everyone-

My newest middle grade, FIVE DAYS OF FAMOUS was released last week. Though I've been thrilled with the early reviews, one just crossed my desk that really made my day.

It's from The Reading Nook, and the reviewer wrote a letter to Hollywood explain why FIVE DAYS OF FAMOUS should be made into a movie. (I must say, she makes a compelling case!) :)

It's been a long held dream of mine to see one of my books adapted for the big or small screen, and while I've had 16 books optioned by Hollywood (11 of those are still currently under option and in various stages of pre-production) it hasn't quite happened yet.

FIVE DAYS OF FAMOUS has not yet been optioned, but with this new review/letter you never know, right? At the very least, an author can dream!

(Finally-I feel like I've been waiting on this one forever!).

After all the waiting I can hardly believe that my new MG, FIVE DAYS of FAMOUS, will be in stores next week on 12.13.16! 

FIVE DAYS of FAMOUS takes place over the Christmas season, and I happen to think it will make the perfect holiday gift for both the young and young at heart!

Here's a brief synopsis:

What would you do if your dream life became reality? 

A dream is a wish your heart makes . . . when your life is in desperate need of a makeover. Nick Dashaway would know; he meets the criteria. His mom is Christmas obsessed, his best friends, Plum and Dougall, are happy to sit at the geek table, and the love of his life, Tinsley Barnes, doesn't even know he exists. Either Nick makes it big this year in seventh grade, or he risks being an invisible nobody forever.

Enter the Greentree Middle School Talent Show, hosted by teen sensation Josh Frost, and Nick has found his ticket out of loserville into top-tier popularity--if the wins. With all the practicing he's been doing, Nick knows he's a shoo-in.

When everything doesn't go according to plan, Nick is ready to do just about anything for a first place finish...and he does. He makes a wish.
